During his 18 years at Baxter, he was president of Immunotherapy Worldwide, president of BioTech Europe, and president of Baxter in Germany and, most recently as corporate group vice president and president of Baxter's $700-million Cardiovascular Group (now Edwards Lifesciences). In addition, Bergheim serves on the board of directors of Vascular Architects, an emerging vascular start-up company
